Digital Signage

What Is Brightsign?

Brightsign is our digital display solution for most of the TV's around campus. While similar in name to Brightspace, the Brightsign displays are completely separate. This Request Service form can be used to submit images that, once approved, can be displayed either on the Public displays around campus or across all the Brigtsign displays.

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

Anyone can submit a image to display. Students will need to enter their faculty or staff supervisor in the form so it can be approved. Slides requested to be displayed campus wide will also need additional approval.

Image Resolution

The image size that looks the best on the digital signs around campus is 3840x2160 pixels. Anything bigger and it will not display on the TVs, anything smaller and it might distort and look blurry or pixelated.
You can start with this size when you create the image (In PowerPoint set the slide size to 40 Inches wide by 22.5 inches high), or you can change the size of the image after creating it with the Windows Photos app. This process also allows you to change the file time to .PNG as this file type works a little better then .jpegs on the screens.
